VOLUNTEER PARK (get directions) in the Capitol Hill neighborhood, can have a great sunset view in front of the museum, near the Black Sun sculpture. Weather permitting, the best sunsets generally happen between October 20 and November 30.

- History - Volunteer Park is a 48-acre park was acquired by the city of Seattle for $2,000 in 1876. In 1901 it was renamed "Volunteer Park" to honor the volunteers who served in the Spanish–American War.
