- View Includes - A large 28-foot sundial at the top of the mound created by two local artists, Chuck Greening and Kim Lazare in 1978. A view of the Aurora Bridge to the west and Lake Union and the Seattle skyline including the Space Needle to the south.
- Nearby Attractions - The Burke Gilman Trail, Fremont (15-minute walk) and Wallingford (25-minute walk).
- History - Gas Works park contains remnants of a coal gasification plant that operated from 1906 to 1956. The site was bought by the City of Seattle for park purposes in 1962 (learn more).
